Stringr Data started as one question about one heat that nothing could answer, and became the wave-level record of professional surfing, assembled event by event because it did not exist anywhere else.

Olympic surfing qualification now turns on a small number of heats, and the 2028 competition will be surfed at a venue we already hold more competitive data on than anywhere else.
A programme that starts building its analytical picture in 2028 is reading history. One that starts now arrives with several seasons of its athletes' scoring patterns already understood, at the break that will decide it. That head start is the reason to partner early rather than late, and it is not something that can be bought back later.
